The property also gives direct access to one of the longest and most important highways of the world. It is the� starting point* of the 4500 km BR-101, a 100 % coastal highway that connects without exception all of the biggest, historical and tourist cities of Brazil (and other Latin- American countries), and is directly connecting with the largest airport of Latin America (Sao Goncalo do Amarante, designated to be the portal of Brazil and Latin America). It has the same appeal to the Brazilians as the Route-66 has to the American. Only here, the coastal BR-101 connects directly to the coast (place featuring the monument Oscar Niemeyer).

*km 0 of "marco zero" �(with the arch of Niemeyer) is the only place where the BR-101 reaches the sea, where especially in RN it runs parallel with the coast at a distance of around 6km. Other properties only can be reached after turn-offs of medium at least 6 km.

As said, the BR-101 gives direct connection with one of the largest airports of the world, also called ‘portal of Brazil and Latin-America’ and situated in São Gonçalo do Amarante.
It is subsidized by the government but it is an obligation of the city of Natal to have it ready before the football world cup of 2014.


Rio Grande do Norte (RN) and Touros


The property is situated in Touros, a place historically important and  the second most populated city (over 30.000 habitants) at the coast of RN. The state RN is one of the fastest growing important tourist destinations of the world and the favorite place for the Brazilians. RN has energy autonomy by means of sustainable alternative energy sources alone, and even produces excess with windenergy capacity.  RN is connected with one of the biggest grids of the world ( the Brazilian national grid ) and with number two and three of the biggest hydrocentrals in the world.

Due to its unique microclimate, the property has the best climate of Brazil (semi-arid and not a humid tropical climate as the ‘cities of sun’ Natal and Fortaleza). This means 12 months of summer a year with almost 100 % security for a sunny day each day: ideal beach, pool and terrace weather.
The constant sea current coming all the way from Africa together with the constant trade winds cause warming at night and cooling during the day - which is exactly what one needs at tropical altitude - causing pretty much the same favorable temperatures in the evening and trough the night. When rains fall, this happens mainly between 2 and 4 o'clock in the night.
According to NASA studies, it also has the purest air after Antarctica.

Yearly temperature between 22 and 35 °C (more ideal than Natal thanks to a more constant sea- breeze ).
- Dry period with sparse rain between mid august and April.
- Warmest period between November and March.
- Precipitation between 400 and 800 mm/year (while that of Natal 84 km South is 1200 mm/year ).
- Rain period may to July.
- Long periods of sun during the rainy season.
- Extended periods of rain mainly in the rainy season
(limited to years with expressive "el nino" effects, due approximately one year out of every four years).
The local micro climate is clearly superior to that of the region when it comes to tourism!

 The region is free of natural disasters : earthquakes, tsunamis, tornados, storms, flooding, no effective lightning hits, no vulcanos, …


Characteristics of the terrain (mineral sources, gravel mine, dunes…)


The 650 ha property has a highly variable and interesting landscape with at the distance of over 1 km from the coast chains of high dunes of over 55 m height.
From the foot of the high dunes at a height of about 25 meters the land slopes gently down to the sea.
This is quite unique and makes most of the land extremely interesting for tourism developments, because it always provides a seaview (no dunes at the beach that isolate the projects from the beach).
Analysis proves that the property is suitable for high rise building (the brick lighthouse in place for almost a century proves the same).
